Minutes From Padstow

Just two minutes' walk from the Cottage is a bus stop where you can catch the 56 bus and take a 15 minute bus ride directly into the harbour town of Padstow, without having to worry about car parking. But if you need to rely on the car, the public car parks at Padstow are just a 9 minute drive away by car.

Padstow is one of Cornwall's most popular coastal towns, known for: Fantastic seafood restaurants; The working harbour and fishing boats; Independent shops and galleries; Boat trips and harbour walks; Access to the Camel Trail cycling route. Whether you choose to travel by car, by bus or by foot, Padstow is an easy trip for lunch, dinner or a drink at the harbour before returning to the quiet of Harlyn Bay.

Constantine Bay is a 25–30 minute coastal walk or a 5 minute drive by car. The Bay is one of Cornwall's premier surfing beaches, known for powerful waves and dramatic coastal scenery.

Treyarnon Bay

5 minutes by car or a 30 minute walk along the coastal path. Treyarnon Bay is famous for its natural rock pool and safe swimming areas at low tide, perfect for family rock pool adventures!

Bedruthan Steps

Just 10–12 minutes by car, Bedruthan Steps is one of the most dramatic coastal landscapes in Cornwall, with towering sea stacks and breathtaking views along the South West Coast Path.

Its proximity means you can easily pick up supplies without spending valuable holiday time travelling far.

Guests choosing to not bring their own car or those travelling from further afield will find that Newquay Airport is the closest airport. Approximately 25 minutes away, by taxi, Harlyn Bay Cottage is one step from the arrivals lounge and a convenient coastal escape for short breaks and long weekends, especially for visitors flying in from London and other major cities.

Bodmin Parkway Railway Station

The nearest mainline train station is Bodmin Parkway railway station, approximately 35–40 minutes, by car, from our holiday cottage at Harlyn Bay. Bodmin Parkway sits on the London Paddington to Penzance main line and provides a direct connection, by train, to London and regular connections across Cornwall and the South West. There are, as you'd expect, taxi services for the final leg to Harlyn Bay but a number of guests choosing to travel by train to Bodmin Parkway and complete the journey to the Harlyn Bay Cottage book a rental car.
