Booking Terms & Conditions -
(COVID 19 Operations)

No 5 The Mews, Harlyn Bay, Padstow

THE CONTRACT

The Contract for a short-term holiday rental will be between Teresa Heritage (referred to as "us" or "we") and the person making the booking and all members of the holiday party (referred to as "you" or "your") in the following booking conditions. UK Law will govern the Contract. The contract of hire is not effective until we have processed the deposit. The contract will be subject to these booking conditions and must be complied with. The party leader must be at least 18 years of age at the time of booking and prior to arrival.

PAYMENT

Bookings are CONFIRMED on receipt of a deposit of £100 of the holiday cost. The deposit must be paid within 3 days of booking form being signed. The balance of the rental will be due for payment 6 weeks prior to the holiday commencement date. Bookings must be paid for using an acceptable and valid credit or debit card.

CANCELLATION

Cancellations must be notified to the Agent by phone and email and once received in writing we will confirm the cancellation request. We will only refund any monies paid under the following conditions. The payment will be made to your credit or debit card within 5 working days:
• If you cancel from 60 days up to and including 2 days before check-in date, you will receive a full refund of the costs you have paid. Refund payment for cancelled booking will be released back to the cancelling guest within seven days.
• Cancellations made 1 day prior to, or on the day of check-in will not be eligible for refund, unless a Doctors certificate/note can be provided or if the Government locks the Country down.

CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE OWNER

If for any reason we are unable to provide the accommodation, we will try and find you alternative accommodation or we would request that you cancel the booking and the above CANCELLATION terms apply. If we have to terminate your holiday early you will be refunded part of the booking fee based on the time remaining of the booking. No additional compensation, expenses or costs will be payable.

PERIOD OF HIRE

You should not arrive before 4pm (16:00hrs) on the commencement date and leave by 10am (10:00hrs) on the day of departure. Failure to do so may result in you being charged a further day's rental. You must not use the property except for the purpose of a holiday during the holiday period, and not for any other purpose or longer period. The agreement to stay in the property for the holiday period, does not create the relationship of Landlord and Tenant between the parties. You shall not be entitled to a new tenancy, or to any assured short hold or assured tenancy or any statutory protection under the Housing Act 1988 or other statutory security of tenure now or at the end of the Holiday Period.

NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY

Under no circumstances may more than 6 people occupy the property. We reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed.

LIABILITY

No 5 The Mews and its representatives shall not be liable to you or your party for loss or damage to property howsoever arising. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard yourselves and your property.

CARE OF THE PROPERTY

You are responsible for the property and are expected to take all reasonable care of its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects, in or on the property. You must leave them in the same state of repair, and in a reasonable clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. You must not use the properties for any dangerous, offensive, noxious, noisy, illegal or immoral activities or carry on there any act that may be a nuisance or annoyance to the owner or other neighbouring properties. Smoking is not allowed in the property. Any damages will have to be paid for in full within seven days of notification.

DAMAGES & BREAKAGES

You are legally bound to reimburse us for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand. Please notify the Agent of any damage of breakages before you leave the property. Please note that as long as there is no damage and the property is left in a good condition, your damage deposit of £100 will be fully refunded within 7 days of departure. Payment will be made to your credit or debit card.

WIFI

Wi-Fi is provided for the guest's reasonable use. The guest agrees to reasonable and lawful usage of this service.

RIGHT OF ENTRY

We shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

COMPLAINTS

Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. However, if you have any problem or cause for complaint, it is essential that you contact us immediately to give us the chance to resolve it. We value your custom and want you to return.

NIGHT LANTERNS, FIREWORKS AND BBQs

Fireworks are not allowed. Night Lanterns are expressly forbidden. A BBQ may be lit in the rear patio only. An appropriate BBQ unit must be used and must not be placed on the patio furniture.

PETS

Cats and dogs are allowed. Please indicate on your booking form the type and number of animals accompanying you on your trip.
 
Additional Terms and Condition for guests bringing their dog(s).
• On arrival, and at all other times, your dog(s) must be kept on the lead in and around the site, this means keeping them on the lead when you first set out for your walk.
• Poop patrol! When taking your dog(s) for a walk, please pick up after them including the beach. Please ensure that you clear up all poop from the rear patio of the cottage.
• When you bring a muddy/sandy dog back from a walk, please clean it off outside. On no account use the towels provided for human use.
• Please thoroughly clean the cottage, including dog hair from soft furnishing and carpets, before you leave; if properties require additional cleaning or dogs have been in the bedrooms, we will charge a £50 fee to cover the cost which will be deducted from the £100 damage deposit.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

In these difficult times, we respectfully request that you and your family/friends follow these conditions:
If a member of your party suspects that they have a symptom of COVID 19, please inform the Agent immediately.
When leaving the property please leave open all the windows in the house (weather dependent).
When leaving the property, please strip the beds and place the sheets and pillowcases in the black plastic bags provided. Please also put bathroom towels and tea towels into separate black plastic bags.
